Studies have shown that one of the primary causes of injury in youth sports are ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) tears with female athletes 3.5 times more likely to suffer a non-contact ACL injury. Furthermore, 70% of athletes that suffered an ACL tear indicated that they never returned to their pre-injury performance levels. By following a guided and progressive program, ACL injuries can be reduced by 82% (Ohanian, US Lacrosse Magazine, 3/14/16). At MFS we implement an active warm-up and proprioceptive training program before every one of our sports performance training sessions and have had great success in injury prevention.
